‘Samsung Innovation Campus’ Program begins in 8 cities: Here’s what it offers?

 

Samsung company has initiated a “Samsung Innovation Campus program” at eight different campuses whose motivation is to upskill 3,000 underprivileged students in the fields of AI, IoT, Big Data, coding, and programming. According to technology-related firms, this will allow students to get relevant employment placements. Samsung Innovation program is being carried out on the following eight campuses: Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University in Bhilai, University of Lucknow, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) located in Hyderabad and New Delhi, SRR College of Arts & Sciences in Karimnagar, Central Tool Room & Training Center in Bhubaneswar, Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic College in Bengaluru and Dr Lankapalli Bullayya College in Visakhapatnam

This program is executed by ESSCI, a National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) certified entity and with the help of its global network of authorized training and educational partners. In September 2022, a MoU was signed between Samsung India and ESSCI. Selected students went through a Pre-course assessment and students were divided into small batches of 30 students to ensure extensive learning possibilities in cutting-edge technology.

Participants of the program will be given training and practice on a capstone project in their chosen field. Students choosing the AI course will have 270 hours credit course and 80 hours working on projects. For IoT or Big Data courses, students will have a 160-hour credit course and 80 hours working on projects. While students opting for a Coding & Programming course will have an 80 hours credit course and a 4-day Hackathon (80 hours required) to conclude the course. After the competition of this program, students will be visiting job fairs and will receive assistance in searching for a suitable job.
