Instagram Enable Users to Comment on Posts with GIFs

We have noticed a great flood of users on Instagram, running their businesses and becoming content creators and influencers. To hold them, launching new features is necessary from time to time.

In a recent Instagram Channels chat between Adam Mosseri, the head of the company, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, an exciting feature addition was announced – the ability to respond to posts on Instagram with GIFs.

Mosseri expressed his satisfaction by stating, “This is a long-awaited feature, but we’re finally launching GIFs in comments today,” indicating this update’s enthusiasm.

With this new feature, users can now engage in conversations by commenting on posts or responding to others’ comments using GIFs from Giphy. It’s important to remember that the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority earlier demanded Meta for selling Giphy last year.

Moreover, Instagram is also testing the lyrics feature in Reels, an extension of the auto-caption sticker introduced by Meta in 2021. Users will be able to synchronise the captions more effectively with the help of a timeline at the bottom of the interface, as shown in the screenshot Mosseri posted.

Finally, users can express themselves creatively by commenting on Instagram posts with GIFs, leading to speculation that Instagram may eventually develop a dedicated iPad app.

This new update demonstrates Instagram’s commitment to enhancing user engagement and expanding its features.
