Elon Musk Announce New Twitter CEO, Linda Yaccarino
Linda Yaccarino has been named as the new CEO of Twitter, according to Elon Musk.
Yaccarino was promoted to chairman of NBCUniversal in 2016, where he had previously served as chairman of global partnerships and advertising. She is renowned for her leadership and innovation in the media industry
Ms. Yaccarino will concentrate on business operations while I concentrate on product creation and new technology, Musk wrote in a tweet to welcome her. Musk expressed his excitement about working with Yaccarino to transform Twitter into an all-encompassing platform called X, the Everything app.
Yaccarino has played a crucial role in the significant growth of NBCUniversal’s advertising business. She has led the development of innovative advertising formats and platforms, including the ad-supported streaming service Peacock.
Yaccarino earned his graduation from the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the board of directors for companies like ViacomCBS and The New York Times Company. She is also an active member in the Global Future Council on the Future of Work of the World Economic Forum.
As for Elon Musk, he will serve as the executive chair and CTO, in charge of managing the company’s products, software, and operations.
Earlier, Musk had expressed the need to stabilize the organization and ensure a clear product roadmap before appointing a new CEO. He had mentioned that by the end of this year, Twitter would be in a stable position for someone else to run the company.
