Apple’s AR/VR headset faces delays, expected launch in 2023

The long-anticipated AR/VR headset from Apple is yet again delayed  The analyst believes that the company is working to fix software problems and could launch the device in the second quarter of 2023. This week Bloomberg reported on the forthcoming headset that will run on the “xrOS” platform in place of “realityOS”. Kuo believes that issues and changes within xrOS could be the reason for Apple delay in the release of its headset. The date suggested for January as the date for the launch of the AR/VR headset appears not likely to Kuo and could be “detrimental to sales and promotion.” The author states that it will become a bit exclusive, with production of “less than 500 000 units” in 2023. Other analysts have estimated the number of units between 800,000 and 1.2 millions units.
