AI-Powered Microsoft Office 365 Apps
At the start of march 2023, Microsoft intends to announce updated versions of Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 apps with artificial intelligence features and OpenAI language.
Using the Prometheus model, which OpenAI developed recently, Microsoft reinvented the Bing updated version that will generate conversational answers to search queries. Microsoft also integrates “AI copilot”, through which users can quickly access Bing’s new chat feature with a click on a button located in the top-right corner.
According to reports, the tech giant Microsoft wants an AI model to generate graphs and graphics in PowerPoint and Excel. Also, it wants AI to generate text by using prompts in its 365 Office apps.
Microsoft intends to launch its AI-powered features in its apps to get as many users as possible before Google introduces its ChatGPT competition. Microsoft immediately shifted the launch date of its new Bing app, which was initially scheduled in late February.
Another reason is that a recent agreement of “multi-billion dollar” investment in the OpenAI field was signed by Microsoft last month. That’s why the corporation is bound to maintain the growing range of AI-powered features it offers.
